01 / Practice & service eligibility

What ages do you treat at Nexus Mind & Medical Center?+

We evaluate and treat patients ages 12 and older for primary care, behavioral health, medical weight management, and elective wellness therapies.

Where is your office located?+

Our physical clinic is located at 3925 S Preston Road, Suite 106, Celina, Texas 75009. We serve Celina, Prosper, Frisco, McKinney, and surrounding North Texas communities.

Who is eligible for Texas telehealth appointments?+

Patients physically located within the State of Texas at the time of the appointment are eligible for behavioral health and selected follow-up primary care consultations. Initial primary care physicals, in-office procedures, and IV therapies must take place in person at our Celina clinic.

02 / Appointment scheduling & clinic policies

How do I schedule an appointment?+

At launch, patients schedule by calling our clinic directly at [Pending Phone Number]. Online self-scheduling through our patient portal will be launched in a future phase.

What is your cancellation and late-arrival policy?+

We require at least 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Missed appointments or late cancellations without advance notice may be subject to a fee in accordance with our practice financial policy. Patients arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to reschedule depending on clinical availability.

What is your patient messaging response timeframe?+

Non-urgent messages sent via the patient portal before 3:00 PM on business days are answered the same day. Messages submitted after 3:00 PM, on weekends, or during holidays are reviewed on the next business day. Portal messaging is not monitored for clinical emergencies.

03 / Financial, insurance & payment terms

Do you accept health insurance?+

We accept both insurance and self-pay/cash-pay patients. We anticipate participating with most major health insurance plans for qualifying primary care and behavioral health visits. Please contact our clinic directly to confirm our current participation with your carrier. Clear self-pay pricing is available for uninsured patients.

Can I pay using an HSA or FSA card?+

Yes. We accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards for medically necessary visits, copays, coinsurance, and deductibles.

Are IV Hydration and IM Wellness injections covered by insurance?+

No. IV hydration infusions and IM booster injections are elective wellness therapies and are exclusively cash-pay services. Payment is expected at the time services are provided.

04 / Prescriptions & clinical disclosures

What should I expect during an initial psychiatric evaluation?+

Initial evaluations typically last 45 to 60 minutes based on clinical complexity. During this appointment, we conduct a detailed review of medical history, current symptoms, prior medications, and lifestyle factors to establish a formal diagnosis and care plan. Follow-up visit lengths vary depending on your treatment goals and medication response.

Do you provide standalone weekly psychotherapy?+

We incorporate supportive therapeutic interventions and psychoeducation directly into medication management appointments. For patients who need dedicated, standalone psychotherapy (such as weekly CBT or trauma-focused therapy), we refer to qualified therapists and psychologists in the community.

Do you prescribe controlled substances?+

Controlled substances are prescribed only when clinically indicated following a complete medical and psychiatric evaluation and required monitoring. An evaluation does not guarantee that a controlled medication will be prescribed. Prescribing adheres strictly to Texas Medical Board rules and federal DEA regulations.

Do you prescribe GLP-1 medications (e.g., Semaglutide) for weight loss?+

Yes, when clinically appropriate. We prescribe FDA-approved anti-obesity medications as part of a comprehensive weight management plan that includes metabolic lab testing, nutritional guidance, and lifestyle modifications. Medication eligibility depends on BMI, medical history, contraindications, and clinical evaluation. No specific medication is guaranteed.
